Handmade Palletwood Cigarbox Style Guitar. Here we have a handmade solid bodied cigarbox style guitar. The bodywork consists of three layers of pallet wood glued and screwed together to make a nice chunky solid body.
The various holes were cut and drilled out, and the hardware fitted. The neck sits nice and holds tune. It has a lovely clean tone but gives a nice snarl when the overdrive pedal is pressed. Though listed as new, my builds all follow a recycled/up-cycled theme, so some parts are new and some used. The neck and tuners are a used item, the bodywork comes from a stripped down pallet, but the electrics and strap lugs are new. My builds all have a rustic style, so knocks and nicks that came with the wood for the body and the neck all remain. These types of guitar came about in the US during the depression era where instruments were made from whatever happened to be laying around and my projects are a nod to that age. These guitars all look great and have a ton of character about them, and would look great as a feature on a stand or hanging on the wall, but they are fully functioning guitars and are really there to be picked up and played. Body: L= 310mm W=170mm D=50mm.Neck Scale length = 25.5in. This item is in the category "Musical Instruments & DJ Equipment\Guitars & Basses\Electric Guitars".
