For the body of the Les Paul Classic, Gibson have gone with the tried and true traditional tone wood combination of a Mahog body and Maple top. 9-hole weight relief ensures a more comfortable playing experience so you can play better for longer, with less fatigue.

Attached to the body is a slim taper neck providing great playability holding a traditional Rosewood bound fretboard. The fretboard features 22 frets that have been cryogenically treated so they are more durable and stronger, with much more resistance to wear. The real beauty of the Les Paul Classic is that it is both contemporary and classic all at once. Visually, you have a stock Les Paul with all the style you'd expect from a'60s Les Paul but take a look under the hood and there's so much more. Giving the Les Paul Classic its incredible voice is a set of BurstBucker 61 humbucker pickups with their Zebra tops adding to the awesome aesthetic of this already-gorgeous guitar.

A toggle switch allows you to choose between either of the pickups or a combination of the two. Where things take a turn for the wonderfully unexpected is in the controls. You have the usual two volume, two tone control set up but they are also push/pull controls with the Volume knobs giving you coil-tap functions and the Tone controls giving you Pure Bypass and Phase options.

On the body of the Les Paul Classic, you'll find an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge offering great sustain and intonation backed up by an aluminium stopbar. Up on the headstock is a set of six Grover Rotomatic tuning machines which provide incredible precise and secure tuning of your strings. Despite all the versatility and modern innovations, the Les Paul Classic appears to be completely stock so you get the best of classic and contemporary.
