The Player is a Tele with a fresh new lease of life; its modern feel and edgy sound are of a high modern standard yet it retains the iconic jazzy warmth and rich twang of the original design. This Player Tele's body is crafted from Alder wood and shaped to the original spec for an authentic vintage look. A Maple neck provides smooth transitions and its substantial C-shaped profile is very comfortable in hand.

The neck is topped with a 9.5 radius Maple fingerboard that adds a brighter, twangier sound than its Pau Ferro counterpart, but has a similar silky-smooth playing surface. The base of the neck also features an "F"-stamped plate- the official hallmark of Fender's high-end quality.

The signature Tele twang is present in abundance thanks to Two Player Series single-coil Telecaster pickups that, while generating an authentic Telecaster tone, have been honed with some additional wallop - a trait generally appreciated by the modern player. Other features include a string-through-body bridge with block-steel saddles for superior string stability and 22 medium-jumbo frets as opposed to the traditional amount of 21. This extra fret neck provides superior playability and provides comfortable access to a full four octaves, enhancing the player's experience and inspiring creativity. Alder body with gloss finish.
